Micro/Small manufacturing enterprises may avail subsidy on one-time registration fee paid to GSI India (Formerly EAN India) for adoption of Bar Code Certification. GSI India is charging Rs. 25,000/- as one-time registration fee w.e.f.  01.02.2007. The unit who has adopted Bar Code may avail 75% of Rs. 25,000/- i.e. 18,750 as subsidy under SSI-MDA Scheme. The scope of present scheme has been enhanced w.e.f. Ist June,2007. Accordingly it has now been decided that 75% of the annual fee (recurring) of Bar Code certification for the first three years would also be reimbursed to Micro and Small Entrepreneurs, in addition to reimbursement of the one-time registration fee as charged by GSI (formerly EAN India).
